Immersion
ANDSCAN can control the motion of immersion scanning tanks using stepper motors, servo motors, or DC motors with limit swiches. If it is necessary for ANDSCAN to independently read the position, it can read positional information from a range of different positional encoders .
Encoder types
Analog (potentiometers giving a voltage in the range +/- 10 V)
Optical (quadrature encoding - with a noise reduction card)
Magnetic ( with noise reduction card)
Digital (up to 32-bit digital values can be read from up to 2 axes)
Immersion Scanners
X-Y
Multi-axis
Please note that, whilst ANDSCAN software is able to control scanners such as these, none of the actual scanners in the photographs was being controlled by ANDSCAN in the application illustrated.
